We are currently accepting Applications for the position Full time, Part time and Volunteer Firefighter.
Full time Applications will be accepted until Filled.
Agility test will be scheduled accordingly
Any Full time candidates that are hired will be required to obtain EMT-B within 1 year.

PART TIME PAY RATE: $16 / hour * Dependent on Qualifications |
CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS:
- Age Requirement: Candidates must be at least 18 years of age or older.
- Education Requirement: Candidates must have a high school diploma or have passed an equivalency test (GED).
- Driver’s License: Candidates must possess a valid driver's license and be insurable under the Department's Vehicle policy. A valid North Carolina driver’s license shall be obtained by date of hire. (Verification required.) Class B license is preferred, and required upon employment.
- North Carolina Firefighter II Certification: National IFSAC certifications are usually accepted. Confirmation with the North Carolina Office of the State Fire Marshal will be required.
- North Carolina Emergency Vehicle Driver Certification
- Haz-Mat Operations
- Ability to obtain EMT-B within 1 year of Hire Date

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Driver Operator – Pumps Series
- Technical Rescue Certification in Vehicle & Machinery Rescue, Agricultural Rescue, Ropes Specialty
- Experience with written communications and technology
- BlueCard IC Certification
- Incident Command System (ICS) 100, 200, 300, 400, 700, 800
- College degree / vocational certificate
- Records of relevant training and experience
- Experience in public/community service, customer service/relations
- Fluent in additional language(s)
